Playing Games

"Sustainability, ensuring the future of life on earth, is an infinite game,

the endless expression of generosity on behalf of all"- Paul Hawkin

"Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game." -Michael Jordan

"Life is a game. Play it!" - Sai Baba

Everything is a game!

All day long, every day, everyone plays games. Nothing but games. Frivolous games, sincere and loving games, even high stakes deadly games.

Fun games that everyone involved wins, and not-fun games, that have winners and losers. What kind of game is this? Are we having fun yet?

I only want to play fun games. Which is not to say competion is inherently not-fun, if it is fair, voluntary, enjoyable, and everyone gets to win sometimes.

What are the rules of your game? Do you need for someone else to lose for you to have fun?

Who all is playing with you, and are they having fun too? Is it fun for you, or would you rather play a different game?

The World game, invented by Buckminster Fuller, was to "make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological damage or disadvantage to anyone", thus increasing the quality of life for all people. "Love is a game that two can play and both win"- Eva Gabor
